02 AUGUST 2009 RESTON, VIRGINIA –Audience members try out the angklung bamboo instrument following ademonstration in front of the Philippine Exhibit at the Asian Festivalhere. The Angklung demonstration was one of several interactive presentations that showed the rich musical tradition of the Philippines in the Festival’s Destination Asia. The Philippine Exhibit won the BestOver-All Exhibit award from the Festival, earning high marks from thejudges for its integrated showcase of culture,
history and heritagethrough creative, colorful, informative and innovative displays.
